We make moving house easy. We create stress-free home moves so our clients can feel positive and supported throughout their house move and carry on leading their already busy lives. They trust us to keep their best interests at heart every step of the way, as we guide and support them through the range of decisions they will need to make. We take care of their belongings as though they are our own. And whilst we do all of this, we try to sprinkle some fun over the experience, turning a potentially overwhelming experience into a more lighthearted adventure.

 

We help with anything and everything from finding the right property to live in, decluttering, staging houses for sale, rehoming, selling and buying furniture, paperwork and setting up broadband to unpacking and putting away clients belongings on move day. Whatever our clients need.

What is your story?

I started The Homemover Specialist in 2012 after having seen how the process of moving house impacted a number of people in my close circle of family and friends. I couldn’t bear how stressed loved ones were becoming trying to juggle their house moves alongside busy lives and often soon after life changing events like losing a loved one, divorce or moving locations with a job.

 

I wanted to take all that stress off their shoulders, because I knew I could. We help with anything and everything from finding the right property to live in, decluttering, selling and buying furniture, to unpacking and putting away their belongings on move day and even recommending schools. Whatever is needed. Now, with a team of Homemover Planners by my side, we are ready to change the way everyone moves house.

 

What is your connection to Chobham?

I have lived in the village for 25 years and the business is based here.

What do you love best about your job?

I love meeting our clients and seeing the physical relief they feel when they realise that they are not alone, and we are there to support them. And I love my team – they are the most amazing group of people and feel very lucky to work with them.

 

What are the tough bits?

Not being able to control the buying/selling legal process

 

What is the best thing a client has said to you?

"Every day, as I realise all the things I didn’t have to do for the move here, I am grateful for all the things you did do. You were always so calm and had such a great can-do attitude. I don’t know how I would have done it without you – thank goodness I didn’t have to.”

 

What you do love most about your home?

And what do you love most about Chobham?

Our house was a wreck when we bought it and originally we planned to renovate it and sell. But we completely fell in love with Chobham - it’s has a wonderful community, it’s 10 minutes from Woking station or the M25 or the M3 but in the middle of the countryside, we’ve brought up our three children here, we’ve met the most wonderful people and our home is the centre of everything... including the business but more importantly fun and laughter.
